Song title: Your love is a killer

Verse:

Going out, getting away in my car  BACK HEAVY

Wanted out, hurting me feels like a scar  BACK  HEAVY

And the Phone is ringing FRONT HEAVY

So I keep on speeding FRONT HEAVY

Chorus:

Your love’s a killer you’re riding fast  FRONT HEAVY

Against the pillar you stroke me at last FRONT HEAVY

I ‘m in a thriller of visions past  FRONT HEAVY

Your love’s a killer….  FRONT HEAVY

Verse:

You just runt, a king up and high in his throne  BACK HEAVY

All I want is run off and put down the phone   BACK HEAVY

And the car is skidding   FRONT HEAVY

But I keep on speeding  FRONT HEAVY

Bridge:

I exceeded limits on the road to your heart BACK HEAVY

Maybe  we were meant to live apart BACK HEAVY

Babe [pause]  I ‘m bleeding   FRONT HEAVY

Chorus:

Your love’s a killer you’re riding fast FRONT HEAVY

Against the pillar you stroke me at last FRONT HEAVY

I ‘m in a thriller of visions past  FRONT HEAVY

Your love’s a killer….  FRONT HEAVY

Coursera’s Songwriting Course {Berklee college of Music}

This was tough! Initially thought to try a creative writing course but it turns out we need to provide the public with our own recordings. So here’s my 4th assignment , lyrics, stressed syllables and ..well  my voice…. Singing days were definetely over for me – still I really like the process of getting your thoughts into a song and Pat Pattison is great!!!!!

Song title: A song for the king

Verse:

–       / –      /         /     –      /        /  –       /

The tables were set, the feast began soon

/ –         /          /    –     –    /

spirits were high and at noon

–     /            /      –    /         /       /        –       /

the bards came to sing,  soft voices they bring

–    /  –  /     /        –    –    /

a melody made for the king

Chorus:

   –   /     –     /        /   –    –    /  / –         – /

And so our song goes, as heavens foretold

   / – –            –     /  –        –    /   –          –  /

Treasures and offers, we bid thee my lord

   / – –        –   /        /      –    /      /

moments of bliss, all that is good

 –   –   /         –  –      /    –      –  /

but beware of the maiden of old

 –        –        /    /    –      /  –       –    /

for she ‘ll turn all your riches to mould
